Valley Routs Redskins
AKRON – Nick Kindig led the way as the Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team routed visiting Knox Friday night.
Kindig tossed in 21 points as the Vikings cruised to a 77-37 victory.
Senior guard Kindig hit three of his team’s seven treys in the lopsided win. Valley led 15-4 after the opening period and rolled from there in the non-conference contest.
The Vikings have won a pair in a row in dominating fashion at home over Argos and Knox after opening the season with a 72-64 loss at Warsaw Nov. 21.
Junior Ben Shriver and senior Jacob Ritchey each scored 11 points for Valley Friday night. Sophomore Chainey Zolman netted nine points and junior Tanner Andrews, the top scorer for the Vikings on the season, finished with eight.
Knox, which drops to 1-2, made just 11 field goals in the game.
Austin Hanson led the Redskins with 10 points.
The Vikings won the junior varsity game by a 31-14 final.
Valley (2-1) hosts Lakeland Christian Academy Tuesday night. Knox (1-2) plays at Culver Dec. 8.
