Central Park Lighting Set For Friday
Santa, Mrs. Claus, and a couple of their reindeer will be visiting Warsaw’s Central Park this Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The visit is part of the annual Light Up The Night event hosted by Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department.
The free event kicks off the first night of the Central Park Holiday Light Display, and the community is encouraged to come and enjoy the more than 200,000 lights and displays in the park.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive to the park on a fire truck at 7 p.m. to visit and mingle with the community. The reindeer will be on hand for the full two-hour event and kids will be able to pet and interact with them.
Visitors to the display can enjoy some live music performances from the Glover Pavilion stage, including the Madison and Washington Elementary schools combined choirs at 7:15 p.m. and the Lincoln and Leesburg Elementary schools combined choirs around 8 p.m.
The first 500 children in the park will also receive a holiday glow necklace to become a special part of the light display. A few other kids activities are planned as well.
