Search Effort In Syracuse Locates Teen
At approximately 6 p.m. Thursday, Syracuse Police were called to a local home in regards to an out of control teenage. When police arrived, the teen fled the house on foot.
Responding police units were unable to locate the 14-year-old and subsequently called for assistance from the Turkey Creek Fire and EMS at 7:46 p.m. A search was conducted by Syracuse Police, Fire and EMS personnel, along with manpower of Benton Township Fire Department. In all, a total of 25 emergency personnel took part in the search.
According to TCFT Fire Chief Mickey Scott, the teen was located when he was returning to his residence at 8:15 p.m. Turkey Creek Fire Territory EMS evaluated the teen due to the cold weather conditions, but no additional medical treatment was necessary.
The child was returned to the residence unharmed.
