Little Crow Foods Building Donated
At a board meeting Monday night, the Kosciusko County Community Foundation accepted the gift of the Little Crow Foods property from Kim and Denny Fuller.
The property, once sold by the KCCF, will fund a donor advised fund at the Community Foundation from which the Fullers will be able to advise charitable grants.
“It is our desire that this asset continue to add value to the community for many years to come. We love the Warsaw area and we truly appreciate everything that this community has done for us,” Kim Fuller said.
Denny Fuller added, “We believe that allowing the Kosciusko County Community Foundation to lead our donation will be best for all those interested in accomplishing maximum benefit for the entire community.”
Once the transfer of the property from the Fullers to the Community Foundation is finalized, the foundation will offer the property for sale in accordance with their policy to liquidate gifts of property. The foundation’s board of directors will entertain purchase offers through a realtor yet to be named.
“We are thrilled that the Fullers have gifted us this property,” said Suzie Light, KCCF executive director. “Their gift is an example of the flexibility of the Community Foundation as a tool for donors to meet their charitable dreams. I have no doubt that the fund established through this gift will accomplish great things for this community for years to come.”
Little Crow Foods was founded in 1903 in Warsaw by Wilber Maish Sr. and remained family owned and community focused for four generations. The company’s major brands, CoCo Wheats, Fryin’ Magic, Bakin’ Miracle, Fastshake and Miracle Maize, were sold to Gilster-Mary Lee and MOM Brands on June 29, 2012.
