The photo on the left is “Christmas 1990, when we lived in Indianapolis,” wrote Stephanie Heine of Leesburg. “It was my daughter, Maggie Heine’s first Christmas, and I am holding my older daughter, Maddy Heine Wong, who was 3 at the time. This is a special picture because this was the first time Maddy wasn’t afraid of Santa.”
In the photo on the right, Maddy, age 7, and Maggie, age 5, with Santa at Marshall Field’s in downtown Chicago in 1995. “It was special because we took the train in, and the girl’s grandparents were there on that magical day,” tells the girls’ mom, Stephanie. “This was also the last Christmas Maddy believed in Santa.”
The last picture the Heine sisters took together with Santa was in 2007 at Disney world. Maddy Heine Wong is on the left, and Maggie Heine is on the right.
