The Milford Public Library will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 24-25, for Christmas. Please use the book drops at the south end of the building for returns during this time. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
The library will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26.
Adult Reading Club
The annual Adult Reading Club will begin on Jan. 2 and continue through March 30. This year’s theme is Groundbreaking Reads. Anyone age 18 and older can participate in the club. There are many prizes you could win.
For every title read or listened to, you can enter the weekly drawing. If you read five books that week, you may enter the drawing five times. The more you read, the better your chances to win! Sign-up at the adult desk starting Jan. 2.
Family Movie Day
Mark your calendars, Jan. 2 the library is offering a Family Movie Day at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. When Brian, a hopelessly uncoordinated young fan magically switches talents with his hero (Kevin Durant, playing himself), he becomes the star of his high school team … while Kevin Durant suddenly can’t make a shot to save his life. But with the playoffs approaching, Brian learns that being a true winner involves working hard at your own game, and he tries to make things right in time to prevent a catastrophic end to his hero’s season.

E-Book Reader Workshop
At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, Tina Meerzo will present a workshop on how to use the new e-book reader you may have gotten for Christmas. Bring your e-book reader (iPad, Nook, Kindle, etc.) and your Evergreen library card and learn how to access the library’s virtual branch. Learn how to download ebooks and audiobooks to your device.
Sign up for this program beginning Friday, Dec. 21, at the adult circulation desk. Ask questions and get individual help after the program.
Board Games and Popcorn Day
Are you bored? Is your Christmas vacation dragging on and on? Join us on Friday, Jan. 4, for Board Games and Popcorn Day. Be sure to stop by the library with some friends and play your favorite board game, work on a jigsaw puzzle, and enjoy some delicious popcorn and start playing.
