Donna L. Kern, 54, of Milford, Ind., passed away at 5:49 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the IU Goshen Hospital.

She was born on April 7, 1958, in Marion, Ind., to Paul V. and Betty J. (McVey) Nealis.

She grew up in Marion and attended high school there. She moved to the Milford area in 1986. On Jan. 6, 1991, she married Kevin L. Kern in Merrit Island, Fla.  She worked at Stacy’s Sports Inn in Leesburg for over 27 years and was a former member of the Eagles Arie 3760 in Syracuse.

She was an avid bowler on several leagues and she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

She is survived by her husband: Kevin L. Kern, Milford; two daughters: Tim (Amy) Kuhn, Leesburg, Ind.; and Kelley Miller, Milford; five grandchildren: Rylan and Aubrey Kuhn, Kiana and Keyan Peete and Adrian Miller; her mother: Betty Smith, Syracuse; a sister: Kim (Paula) Martin, Wabash, Ind.; and a niece: Amanda Younce, Wabash.

She was preceded in death by her father; step father: Paul Smith; and a sister: Tonya Alfrey.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500 North, North Webster. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the North Webster Church of God officiating.
