Harriet Elizabeth White
Harriet Elizabeth White, 91, of North Webster, Ind., passed away at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the Lakeland Rehab and Healthcare Center, Milford, Ind.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1921, in Warsaw, Ind., to Riley and Jennie (Estep) Neibert. She graduated in 1939 from North Webster High School. On Aug. 24, 1940, in North Webster, she married Glen White who preceded her in May 1979.
She was a lifetime area resident. She was co-owner / operator of White Plumbing & Heating in North Webster for many years. She was a homemaker who assisted her husband on the family farm.
She formerly worked as a window clerk at North Webster Post Office, as a secretary at the school and worked in the school library. She had also previously worked at Honest John’s Lumber Co. in Leesburg and had been a waitress at the M & M Restaurant in North Webster.
She was a member of the North Webster Church of God and Hi Neighbors Home Ec. Club in North Webster.
She is survived by two sons: Gary (Kathy) White, Edwardsburg, Mich.; and Joseph (Judy) White, Kimmell, Ind.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters: Betty Froyd, Minneapolis, Minn.; Lois Kendall, Indianapolis, Ind.; Ruth (Cliff) Rider, Leesburg, Ind.; and Margret Ann (Nelson) Worden, Louisville, Ky.; and a brother: Lewis “Bud” (Sue) Neibert, Leesburg.
She was preceded by her parents, husband, sister: Maxine Zince; and three brothers: Maurice, Riley Jr. and Loren Neibert.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, and last until 2 p.m. Saturday when the service will begin at the North Webster Church of God, 302 N. Main St., North Webster, with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the church officiating. Burial will be in the North Webster Cemetery.
Memorial bequest may be given to North Webster Church of God. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
