Freman ‘Curly’ Neher
Freman “Curly” Neher, 93, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 10:10 a.m., Saturday Jan. 26, 2013, in his residence.
On Feb. 16, 1919, he was born in Rochester, Ind., to Herman and Mabel (Mreed) Neher. He was united in marriage to Amy Berniece Perry on Aug. 19, 1942, in Redondo Beach, Calif. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2005.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Freman served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He then worked for Gatke Inc. for 37 years until his retirement in 1974. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post #49, Warsaw.
He is survived by his daughter: Anne Marie (Don) Grimm, Warsaw; a son: Stephen Neher, Warsaw; a grandson: Andrew Grimm, Warsaw; four sisters: Cordela (Paul) Taylor, Sun City, Ariz.; Audry (Rich) Stephan, Bippus, Fla.; Maxine Venner, Huntington, Ind.; and Gazetta (Skeet) Haines, Crawfordsville, Ind.
There are no services or visitation planned. Burial will be at a later date.
