Peace Council Love Brigade In Warsaw
Love doesn’t have to be all x’s and o’s and roses and chocolate, love is also community, a friendly smile, an encouraging word.
Join the Kosciusko Peace Council and members of the Lake City Roller Dolls as they take to downtown Warsaw with a mini-Mardi Gras of Love, dubbed the Love Brigade, on Friday, Feb. 15. Participants will meet at Center Lake at 4:30 p.m. then walk to the Kosciusko County Courthouse and back. There will be a short gathering on the courthouse steps with songs and readings during the event.
Dress funky (and warm!), bring signs, noisemakers and your smiles! The message of the Kosciusko Peace Council is simple: “You are Loved!”
Participants are asked to meet at 4:30 p.m. at the tennis courts at Center Lake. “This will be a fun, high-energy event to promote KPC and to spread the word that love is not roses and chocolate, it’s acceptance, peace and equality in the community,” said event organizer Marena Atkins.
