Wilson Paces Warsaw Frosh
WARSAW – Luke Wilson led the way Tuesday night as the Warsaw boys freshman basketball team closed out its regular season with a win.
Wilson had 12 points and five rebounds as the host Tigers topped Elkhart Central 39-34.
Paul Marandet turned in a strong all-around effort for Warsaw with four points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals. Tyler Packard and Riley Rhoades each netted eight points for the winners.
The Tigers also got strong contributions in the win from Ben Linky, Matt Anthony, Caleb Garner, Xavier Lynch and Evan Schmidt.
Warsaw, now 16-3, will play host Plymouth Saturday morning in the Northern Lakes Conference Tournament. The winner then plays the winner of the Concord-Goshen game in the tourney title tilt on Saturday.
