Open Enrollment For 4-H Underway
Did you know the Kosciusko County 4-H Program offers over 100 different projects and programs for youth to be involved in?
The 4-H program offers something for everyone including things like Legos, pets, cooking, cake decorating, arts and crafts, blacksmithing, mountain biking, scrapbooking, teen leadership and more. There are also 26 different clubs that youth can be involved in.
A camp is also offered for youth in grades 3-7, and multiple different trips for those in grades 7-12 both statewide and nationally. 4-H also has multiple scholarship opportunities as well.
4-H focuses on teaching life skills to youth through their involvement and completion of projects and activities. It is the only federally recognized and funded youth organization in the country and is considered one of the premier youth organizations in the country.
The Kosciusko County 4-H Program will be hosting a 4-H 101 Night at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Kosciusko County Extension Office, 202 W. Main St. Warsaw. This event is free and open to the public. All youth grades K-12 and their parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.
4-H 101 Night is a time to come and see what projects, programs, clubs and events the 4-H program has to offer for youth. Come learn about 4-H, ask questions, browse our available projects and complete your 4-H enrollment on site.
The Kosciusko County 4-H Enrollment deadline of March 1 is fast approaching. If you need assistance enrolling or do not have computer access, go to the extension office anytime during business hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or attend the open enrollment sessions which will be held at the Extension Office on:
- Feb. 12, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Feb. 19, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- March 1, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
