WARSAW – The WCHS Athletic Department will presale tickets for the girls basketball regional on Thursday and Friday.

Tickets, good for both regional sessions, will be on sale from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day at WCHS. Tickets are $10 each and will allow admittance to both semifinal games and the championship game. Single-session tickets, which are $7 each, will be available Saturday at Valparaiso High School.

Warsaw, ranked No. 8 in Class 4-A, plays Penn at 12:30 p.m. ET in the second semifinal game at the Class 4-A Valparaiso Regional on Saturday. The Tigers are 22-1, while the Kingsmen are 19-4. Warsaw won the program’s first sectional title since 2004 on Saturday night by beating Northridge 46-35 in the championship game at Concord.

The opener at Valparaiso Saturday, scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. ET start, features No.5 Merrillville (22-1) versus Lake Central (16-7).

The regional championship game at Valparaiso tips-off Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET. The regional winner advances to a one-game semi state on Saturday, Feb. 23 at either Warsaw or Crown Point. The semi state site will be determined after regional play is concluded.
