Syracuse Public Library News
The Syracuse Library will be closed on Monday, Feb. 18, in honor of President’s Day. Regular hours resume on Tuesday.
The young adult new book club will then meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19. Besides a snack and the month’s newest books, teens will make a 30-second YouTube video promoting the summer theme, “Beneath the Surface.”
The library will also be celebrating Library Lovers’ Month with a book give-away event called, “Blind Date With a Book.” In addition, the library will now be accepting new, special children’s and adult books. Preschool story time will begin March 4-5.
Come Use Your Evergreen Card At The Library
Winter is dragging on, so it is an opportune time to experiment with some different exercise routines. The library has 24 DVDs from a variety of fitness leaders who can guide novices or seasoned health-enthusiasts. Anyone who has an Evergreen library card is welcome to check-out DVDs from the Syracuse Library.
DVDs must be checked out in person from the loaning library but can be returned at any Evergreen Library.
Looking Ahead
Tax forms are ordered and are arriving but may not be fully available for two more weeks. Instructions and forms are now available online and can be printed from the library’s computers for 10 cents a page. The staff at the circulation desk can look up forms and assist with computer questions.
