Jane Leining Love, 91, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and formerly of Syracuse, Ind., passed away on Feb. 19, 2013, at the Coventry Meadows Assisted Living in Fort Wayne, Ind.

She was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Providence, R.I., to Reverend Frederick C. and Harriet (Barrows) Leining. In 1943 she graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., receiving a B.S. with no honors.

On June 24, 1944, she married Dr. V. Logan Love who preceded her in 1996. She resided in Marion, Ind., from 1951-1968, and Syracuse from 1968-2008 when she moved to Fort Wayne.

Jane was a trained Viking, but could not find gainful employment. She had the heart of a teenager.

Jane is survived by her three children: Nancy Love, Fort Wayne; Gordon (Alice) Love, Tampa, Fla.; and Gretchen (Jeff) Hughes, Huntington, Ind.; and seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her sister. There will be a memorial service for Jane at noon Saturday, Feb. 23, at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. 1000 N. Syracuse. Reverend Gary Lewis will officiate the service. A private family interment will be held at the McClintic Cemetery.
