Susie McEntire To Open Kosciusko Fair
Country christian music artist Susie McEntire will be opening this year’s Kosciusko County Community Fair with a free concert on July 8.
Susie McEntire shares more than just a passing physical resemblance to her sister, Reba McEntire. She also shares her big sister’s musical talents, but Susie has directed her talents to the country christian side of American Roots music.
She has been named “Artist of the Year” several times in the field of Positive Country Music and has scored four No. 1 singles on Positive Country radio charts.
McEntire will be in concert at 8 p.m. Monday, July 8, in the grandstands of the Kosciusko County Community Fairgrounds. General admission will be by freewill donation with reserved track seating tickets selling for $15 each. Tickets will go on sale at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at the fair box office.
The concert will be held immediately following the fair’s opening ceremonies and a special Salute to Heroes program. In keeping with the fair theme, the Salute to Heroes program will feature some special guests and surprises as a video presentation displays the photos and names of those are considered heroes to someone.
The fair is now accepting photos of those who are heroes to someone. Photos, along with the hero’s name, can be emailed to the fair for inclusion in the video presentation. Photos must be received by June 1 and can be emailed to [email protected], or mailed (not to be returned) to the Kosciusko County Community Fair, 1400 E. Smith St., P.O. Box 1093, Warsaw, IN 46581.
As in past years, the fair parade, which kicks off fair week – this year slated for July 7-13 – will again be held on Sunday. The time has not yet been announced. The midway will open Monday, July 8.
A complete listing of fair activities and additional entertainment is still being determined and will be posted on StaceyPageOnline.com as details are finalized.
