Autism Center Holds Interest Meeting In Warsaw
Lighthouse Autism Center, an ABA therapy center for children with autism, will be holding a community interest meeting in Warsaw to determine if expansion to Kosciusko County is needed. Lighthouse Autism Center provides intensive year round daily therapeutic intervention for children with autism based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Over 50 years of research documents the efficacy of ABA in reducing inappropriate behavior and in increasing communication, learning, and appropriate social behavior. After decades of research, the United States Surgeon General has endorsed intensive behavioral intervention for individuals with autism and other development delays.
The Warsaw area center would be the second location for Lighthouse Autism Center, which opened in May 2012.
“We understand the struggle that you go through as a parent when you are told that your child has Autism. We understand the frustration of feeling helpless — that there is no one out there to help your child reach his/her potential. This is why we created Lighthouse Autism Center,” Lighthouse Autism Center’s Executive Director Gregg Maggioli, stated. “We have made it our mission to provide hope to every child, every family and bring quality ABA therapy where it is needed most.”
Lighthouse is a place for children and families affected by autism. Lighthouse offers intensive daily one-on-one individualized ABA therapy that allows children access to peers, a state-of-the-art facility, materials, highly trained professionals and full-time BCBA supervision.
