Accidents
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Friday, 4:42 p.m. North Huntington Street and Indiana Avenue. Drivers: Trenton J. Smith, 32, North Hillside Lane, Syracuse; and Dorothy M. Slabaugh, 50, CR 9, Nappanee. Smith popped the clutch on his vehicle, causing it to hit Slabaugh’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, 11:45 a.m. McDonald’s parking lot. Drivers: Samantha J. Rash, 18, North Hillside Drive, Syracuse; and James R. Hite, 67, North Hoss Hill Road, North Webster. Rash was backing from a parking pace and did not see the Hite vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
Incidents
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Sunday, 7:31 a.m. Steven Vanderryden, Pecan Street, Syracuse, found a vehicle in his yard which had struck a concrete post, fence and mailbox. The vehicle was registered to Lashawnda Green, 28, Clinic Court, Warsaw. Green was arrested for leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Bond: $300. Damages estimated up to $5,000.
- Friday, 12:17 p.m. Charles W. Todd, North Front Street, Syracuse, reported a window broken at a North Lake Street, Syracuse, location. Damages: up to $200
- Wednesday, Feb. 27, 3 p.m. Officials at Lakeland Learning Center, North Long Drive, Syracuse, reported the company’s credit card number had been used to purchase things online.
- Sunday, 4 p.m. Wendy L. Lower, Apple Road, Bourbon, reported her iPhone was removed from the glove compartment of her vehicle while parked at Duffy’s Bar, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Value: $250
Arrests
Sunday, 7:19 a.m. Brandon Maurice Cannon, 27, Clinic Court, Warsaw, arrested for domestic battery. The battery occurred on West Boston Street, Syracuse. Bond: $500
