Child Porn Nets Federal Charges
A Warsaw man arrested last month by Kosciusko County authorities for being in possession of child pornography, has been arrested by federal authorities on the same charges.
Adam Christopher Snyder, 28, 115 EMS B48 Ln., Warsaw, was arrested in February for having stored photos and videos of child pornography on his computer’s hard drive. (See related story)
The investigation began when Snyder contacted a freelance computer specialist to remove the hard drive from his computer. The freelancer found the images and videos and reported it to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the initial probable cause affidavit, a search warrant was obtained and the computer was sent to the U.S. Secret Service on Feb. 7 for a forensic investigation. Secret Service agents discovered the images of child pornography that also included adult men having intercourse with infant children.
Snyder was initially held on a charge of child exploitation. His bond was set at $5,000. On Monday, Snyder was re-arrested by federal agents and is now believed to be in jail in South Bend on a federal charge of child exploitation.
Detective Todd Sautter tells StaceyPageOnline.com that Snyder is currently held on no bond and the federal charges stem from the local investigation.
