First Source Finalist In Volunteer Program Award
1st Source Bank has been recognized as one of five finalists for employee volunteer program of the year by VolunteerMatch. 1st Source is one of five finalists among companies nationwide in the small to medium size business category, which encompasses business with fewer than 10,000 employees.
“Service to our community is one of our principal values at 1st Source,” said Jim Seitz, 1st Source president. “We’re pleased to be recognized for the many hours that our employees give back to the community each year.”
In 2012, 1st Source employees volunteered more than 25,000 hours to more than 350 community organizations. Key nonprofit partners include Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together and the United Way.
“With the 1st Source VolunteerMatch program, employees can sign up online to volunteer for community organizations and also track hours volunteered,” said Mark Gould, 1st Source Bank’s assistant vice president and CRA community relations officer. “VolunteerMatch has given us a great way to promote volunteer opportunities and engage employees.”
VolunteerMatch is the web’s largest volunteer engagement network. This year’s winners will be announced on May 16, at a VolunteerMatch client summit in New York.
