Spring …
Happy Spring! Spring is a season of beginnings. The snow melts away and new green plants begin to spring up to brighten our recently snowy days. Perhaps there is a new beginning you would like to start. Would you like to do some spring cleaning? Plant a garden?
Maybe you’d like to reorganize your closet before you fill it with summer clothes or take care of some household repairs. Here at Milford Public Library, we have a bounty of helpful books perfect for your spring endeavors. Find inspiration in the pages of Pottery Barn Storage & Display and A Place for Everything. In Dare to Repair or Step-by-Step Garden Basics you just might find the perfect guide to start spring in a new way, not to mention the dozens of other books, magazines, and films that might be just what you are looking for. Start the season on the right foot – by stepping into the library.
On March 26, 1911, a great writer, Tennessee Williams, was born. Perhaps you’ve never heard of him or have read his plays and seen the great films that came from his writing and would like to experience his stories again. His most popular works Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and The Glass Menagerie can be found on our shelves, along with the classic play and film A Streetcar Named Desire starring Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh. This week, celebrate the impact Williams made by taking a look at some of his stories.
