PC’s For Youth Hold County Presentations
PC’s For Youth located in LaGrange will be going on tour. The organization gives free computers to students to use for educational purposes in LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, DeKalb, Elkhart, Kosciusko, and Whitley counties to use for educational purposes. The organization gives computers to students in middle/high school, college, and adults trying to obtain their GED.
Colton C. Strawser, PC’s For Youth executive director, will be traveling to all of the counties PC’s For Youth serves to speak about what PC’s For Youth is and what it is doing in your community. The presentations are free and open to the public.
“The idea for these presentations came out of a board discussion on how to connect to our counties more effectively,” Strawser stated about the presentations. “We are looking forward to connecting with other nonprofits, business professionals, and community members at the local level to spread the message about our organization.”
Last year, PC’s For Youth approved 75 applications from students requesting to receive a computer. This year their goal is to approve 70 applications, and so far they have approved 26 applications.
“The level of growth our organization is constantly experiencing is astonishing. I’m so proud of all of the hard work our volunteers and board of directors put into our organization to make it all happen.” Strawser commented.
