Weather Wipes Out Warsaw Events
WARSAW – The cold and snowy weather continues to cause havoc with the prep spring sports schedule.

The softball team, which lost its season opener to Elkhart Central 4-2 at home on Saturday, has also had its game at Penn Tuesday postponed. Coach Jim Speicher’s squad is scheduled to play at Mishawaka on Wednesday. The team’s next home game is now set for April 9 versus East Noble at 5 p.m.
The Warsaw baseball team has also had its game at Crown Point Tuesday cancelled. The Tigers have also postponed their home game on Wednesday versus South Bend Clay.
The WCHS Athletic Department also announced today that its girls track meet scheduled for Tuesday at Fort Wayne North Side versus Huntington North and host North has been cancelled. The girls track team has now had its first three meets of the season, including a pair of home ones last week, cancelled. Coach Scott Erba’s team is now scheduled to open its season by hosting Plymouth and NorthWood in conference action on April 9 at 5 p.m.
The Warsaw boys track team’s meet at Penn Tuesday is also cancelled. The Tigers, who had their home and season opener last Thursday cancelled, are now scheduled to open the season by hosting Huntington North on Thursday at 5 p.m.
