Investigation Nets Child Molestation Charge
Michael Ray Long, 35, of Warsaw, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant issued through Kosciusko County at the culmination of a current investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department detective division.
Long is charged with a class C felony charge of child molesting and a class D felony charge of sexual battery.
According to a probable cause affidavit released by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation began in December when police were told that Long was allegedly present while a 13-year-old boy was having sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old female.
During police questioning, the female said Long would also engage in activity with her that made her feel uncomfortable. That activity included “wrestling” and Long allegedly poking the girl and touching her private areas.
According to the affidavit, Long admitted only to wrestling with the girl.
Long is currently in the Kosciusko County Jail with a $5,000 bond.
