Jacqueline L. ‘Jackie’ Shumaker, 80, North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 8:46 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Wabash County Hospital, Wabash, Ind.

She was born July 29, 1932, in Wabash County to Charles Wilbur and Helen (Smeltzley) Collins. In 1950 she graduated from Central High School, North Manchester. On Sept. 11, 1955, she married Billy G. Shumaker.

She was employed at Triwec in North Manchester, for 17 1/2 years. She then worked at Custom Magnetics, North Manchester, for 17 years before retiring in 1993. Jackie was a member of Ijamsville United Methodist Church, Ijamsville, Ind. She loved to swing on her swing in her backyard.

She is survived by her husband; two sons: Frank (Sharon) Shumaker, Columbia City, Ind.; Paul Douglas (Jenny) Shumaker, Warsaw, Ind.; two daughters: Peggy (Vaughn) Callahan, Huntington; Betty (Rick) Gressley, Lagro, Ind.; one half brother: John Steven (Toni) Cave, North Manchester; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son: Jan Shepherd; and one sister: Carol Wood.

Visitation will take place 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 28, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Laketon Cemetery, Laketon, Ind. Pastor Kent Harting will officiate.
