An accident on SR 15 at the Walmart entrance had traffic in the southbound lane of SR 15 backed up for about 30 minutes Friday. Two vehicles collided at about 12:20 p.m.

According to a Warsaw Police report, Ty W. Marshall Brown, 18, West Corlys Lane, Silver Lake, failed to yield the right of way while he was traveling eastbound on Jalynn Street and attempting to turn north onto North Detroit Street (SR 15). A second vehicle, driven by Holly R. Rowe, 28, of Fort Wayne, collided with Brown in the intersection.

Rowe said she had the green light while traveling north on SR 15 and attempting to turn west onto Jalynn Street. A witness also said Brown failed to yield the right of way. One person complained of neck pain and was assessed on scene by Multi-Township EMS but further treatment was refused.

Traffic in the southbound lane of SR 15 was at a standstill and backed up to nearly CR 350 North. Motorists trying to exit Walmart were only able to exit southbound while the scene was cleared.

Total damages in the collision were estimated at $5,000.
