Herman H. Heberling
Herman H. Heberling, 86, formerly of Cornwall, Pa., passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw, Ind.
He was born on Saturday, Jan. 15, 1927, to the late Clayton F. Heberling and Estella (Schaeffer) Heberling in Myerstown, Pa. He was a member of St. Jacob’s Kimmerling’s Church. Herman was a veteran of the Navy in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired civil service computer specialist. Herman enjoyed traveling with his wife to all 50 states and many countries in Europe, and he enjoyed gardening and fixing various items.
He is survived by his daughter: Donna S. (Kenneth) Seyfert, Warsaw; two grandchildren: Tara (John) Rauch, Goshen, Ind.; Troy (Kristin) Seyfert, Lansing, Mich.; three great-grandchildren: Elli, Ethan, and Elisha Rauch; two sisters: Mildred (Vernon) Miller; Geraldine (John) Tice.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Kathleen R. (Spangler) Heberling; and his son: Douglas Heberling.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, Pa. His funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pa. with full military honors prior to the service.
