Woodrow V. ‘Woody’ Howe
Woodrow V. ‘Woody’ Howe, 77, of North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 11:15 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
He was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Visalia, Calif., to Robert Craven and Leona M. (Carrothers) Howe Jr. He graduated from West High School, Denver, Colo. where he was active in ROTC.
He later received a BS degree from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Co. On Sept. 21, 1974, he married Pamela A. Ford. Woody worked with his father and brother at Moss Brothers Egg Products. Later and until his retirement he was an egg commodities grader for the United States Department of Agriculture. After retirement he worked part-time for Shepherd’s Chevrolet at North Manchester picking up and delivering vehicles.
He is survived by his wife: Pam Howe, North Manchester; one son: Mark (Lisa) Howe, West Allis, Wisc.; one daughter: Victoria (Hank) Ioerger, Longmont, Colo.; one granddaughter: Valleri Ioerger, Longmont; one brother: John Howe, Thornton, Colo.; and his mother-in-law: Bernice Ford, North Manchester.
No visitation is currently planned. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester. Rev. Sue Babovec will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
