Wet, Cold Scraps More Events
The wet and cold weather continues to cause problems for the area high school spring sports schedules.
Warsaw Community High School has announced that three events scheduled for tonight (April 11) have been postponed. Those contests are the girls tennis match at Columbia City, home baseball games (JV and varsity) versus South Bend Clay and the boys track NLC meet at NorthWood versus Wawasee and the host Panthers.
The girls tennis match for Warsaw is now rescheduled for April 19 at Columbia City at 5:30 p.m. The boys track meet is now scheduled for April 15 at NorthWood at 5 p.m.
Tippecanoe Valley High School has announced that its girls tennis match versus Knox and its varsity and junior varsity softball games at Winamac tonight have been postponed. No make-up dates have been set yet for the contests. The Valley track meet versus Manchester has also been postponed tonight.
The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School track meet at Triton has also been postponed. That meet is rescheduled for April 16 at Triton at 4:30.
Wawasee High School has postponed all of its events for tonight. The girls tennis match at Goshen is rescheduled for April 12 at 5 p.m. at Goshen Middle School. The baseball team’s home game versus Columbia City will now be played on May 21 with the C team baseball game at Goshen now on May 14 and the boys track meet at NorthWood on April 15 at 5 p.m.
Triton High School has also seen all of its events tonight fall victim to the inclement weather. The varsity softball at Caston, varsity baseball at Plymouth and JV baseball versus Plymouth have all been postponed. The varsity baseball game is rescheduled for May 7 at Plymouth at 4:30 with the JV baseball game now set for April 30 at Triton at 4:30.
The Triton JV softball game at Whitko from tonight is rescheduled for May 7 at 5 p.m. with the girls tennis home match versus Glenn now set for April 23 at 4:30 and the junior high track home meet versus Valley and Lakeland now on April 16 at 4:30.
