UPDATE: Thursday Already Under Water
Wawasee High School wasted little time today saying ‘No’ to even trying any of its sporting events.
The boys varsity track NLC meet at Goshen, with Concord also participating, has been moved from this afternoon until 5 p.m. Monday, April 22, at Goshen.
The girls varsity track NLC meet at Plymouth, with Elkhart Memorial also participating, has also been called off. No make-up date has immediately been announced.
The varsity and JV softball games at Elkhart Memorial, which were already postponed from yesterday, will be made up at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, at Memorial.
The varsity and JV tennis matches at Manchester scheduled for today has been scratched, a make-up date has not been announced.
The JV baseball game with Whitko scheduled for today has been scratched, a make-up date has not been announced.
Also postponed is the Wawasee Adult Education – Infant Swim and Sue Ganshorn’s Swim Classes for tonight – Thursday April 18. Make-up day is Monday, April 29.
Tippecanoe Valley High School put the squeeze on three of its home games for today.
The varsity baseball game with John Glenn has been washed out. No make-up date was immediately announced.
Girls tennis between Whitko and Valley has been moved from today to Friday, April, 26, at 5 p.m. at Valley.
The triangular golf match between visiting North Miami and Caston has been called off. The three teams will meet on Thursday, April 25.
Warsaw Community High School has also postponed all three of its home events, boys track, girls tennis and C team baseball, tonight. The boys track Northern Lakes Conference meet versus Northridge is rescheduled for Monday, April 22. Dates for the girls tennis match versus Fairfield and the C team baseball game against Triton are to be determined.
Triton High School joined the lengthy list too. The varsity softball at Manchester, JV softball versus Manchester, JV baseball versus Warsaw and junior high golf at Urey have all been postponed with make-up dates to be determined. Also, the varsity golf match at Plymouth has been cancelled and will not be made up.
Triton also announced today that the Warrior Relays Friday night will be held at Northfield High School due to poor track conditions at North Miami High School. Both the boys and girls track teams from Triton are scheduled to compete in the event.
