The Kosciusko County Community Foundation recently made a $1,000 grant to the Women’s Health Fund in honor of Kathy Stanley.
Stanley attended the Warsaw Women’s Expo the weekend of March 23 and 24 and entered a drawing to win a grant in her honor to the fund. Stanley’s name was drawn and she accepted her prize this week.
The Women’s Health Fund, when fully funded, will help low-income women get mammograms and will be a resource accessed through the Health Connect Help Center in Warsaw. The Women’s Health Fund is an endowment, which means the fund is invested and a portion of its earnings used for grantmaking. The fund must reach the $5,000 level before it can begin granting money for mammograms for low-income women.
Gifts in support of the fund can be made online at www.kcfoundation.org/donate. Donors should be sure to list “Women’s Health Fund” in the fund designation field.
