LCA: Thanks Community For Successful Food Drive
Dear Editor,
The students and staff at Lakeland Christian Academy were privileged to help fill the food pantry at Combined Community Services this week with over 5.5 TONS of food. We would like to thank the people who made our endeavor so successful.
First of all, this would not have been possible without the generosity of our community.
Thanks to the following organizations for their donations:
StaceyPageOnline.com and other media outlets — great coverage
Martin’s Supermarket — 4,000 grocery sacks
Reinholt’s Town Square Furniture — truck and driver to transport food
JB’s Furniture — truck to transport food
Brouwer’s Furniture — truck and driver to transport food
Clark Shepherd of A.C.T.S. (Allowing Christ To Shine) — truck and driver to transport food
Widman Builders — trailer and driver to transport food
Culver’s — custard rewards for students
Ritter’s — conveniently having “FREE Custard Day” on Monday for our students to enjoy
Winona Lake Parks Department — FREE delivery of picnic tables for sorting food
We could not have been successful without these partners in our community. Thank you.
We highly value LCA’s teachers, staff and parents and thank them for their help, enthusiasm and flexibility in helping teach life lessons to our students that no textbook can. An opportunity to serve others in such a tangible way helps us fulfill Lakeland Christian Academy’s mission to develop students who are academically competent, spiritually mature, and socially responsible.
