Phyllis Caroline Whitesell, 90, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6:55 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Nursing Home, Warsaw.

She was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Warsaw to W. L. and Mary O. (Hontz) Ringgenberg. She was a graduate of Pierceton High School and lived her lifetime in Warsaw.

On Feb. 28, 1940, she married Ralph T. Whitesell. She worked in the janitorial field cleaning doctors offices.

Phyllis is survived by four nieces: Gloria J. Tenney, Warsaw; Bertha Mantey, Warsaw; Barbara Gibson, Kokomo, Ind.; and Rose Weir, Boca Raton, Fla.; a brother: Eugene Ringgenberg, Palmetto, Fla.; and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph T. Whitesell; a son: Ralph E. Whitesell; a sister: Willowdean; and her parents.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Jarboe of Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
