Shepherd Taking Talent To Anderson
WARSAW – The wardrobe scheme at the Shepherd house will not change much as Warsaw Community High School standout lineman Cameron Shepherd has announced his intentions to play football in the fall for the orange and black Ravens at Anderson University.
Shepherd, a first team all Northern Lakes Conference selection, a first team Indiana Football Coaches Association All-State pick, and an IFCA Region II All-Star, was a key figure for Warsaw coach Phil Jensen’s offensive front this year that helped Tiger running back Tristan McClone set a season-best yardage mark this past fall. At offensive guard, Shepherd’s efforts were instrumental in the Tigers’ success this past season.
Shepherd, a 6-3, 305 pound force at defensive tackle, helped the Tigers to a runner-up finish in the Northern Lakes Conference this season.
Shepherd not only made an impact on the field, but he has served his school and community throughout his four years. Shepherd worked numerous projects with Habitat for Humanity, was a member of the Tiger Student Athletic Board, and he played intramurals.
Despite the time demands from athletics and other activities, Shepherd maintained an impressive B average in the classroom. At Anderson, he will major in Criminal Justice while playing for coach Bobby Ladner and the Ravens.
