David A. Kitchen
David A. Kitchen, 71 of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013, in his residence.
On June 24, 1941, he was born in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Raymond and Violet (Leatherman) Kitchen. He married Melanie Salisbury on Dec. 31, 1985, in Fort Wayne, who survives.
David was a master electrician and owner of Kitchen Electric and Maintenance Company, Fort Wayne. David was a project starter.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
David is survived by his wife: Melanie, Warsaw; six daughters: Dee (Ron) Hadley, Goodwell, Okla.; Debrah Kitchen, Fort Wayne; Dana (Harald “Gator”) Gates, Warsaw; Dawn Kitchen and friend Al, Fort Wayne; Deitra (Richard) Martin, Huntington, Ind.; and Jenessa (Brent) Scott, Waynedale; two sons: David (Sheryl) Kitchen, Warsaw; and Robert Kitchen and friend Rainy, Logansport, Ind.; three sisters: Collen Troxel, Fort Wayne; Dian Wroblewski, Huntington; and Cherie Jo (Michael) Rumple, The Villages, Fla.; one brother: Rex (Carol) Kitchen, Fort Wayne; and his father and mother-in-law: Ron and Marry Salisbury, Warsaw; 10 grandchildren: Brandy, Amanda, Ron, David, Jennifer, Heather, Jessica, Richie, Thea and Trevin; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
