Milo Eugene Lindzy
Milo Eugene Lindzy, 81 of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 9:04 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On April 14, 1932, he was born in Warsaw to Cecil Dane and Anna Blanche (Ring) Lindzy. He married Rosemary Claxton on Aug. 1, 1955. She preceded him in death on Oct. 4, 1961. He then married Barbara Jean Hazelton on July 29, 1962, in South Milford, Ind. She preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 2007.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, Milo graduated from Warsaw High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. After his service in the Navy, he worked as a machinist for White Metal and Clausings and also delivered mobile homes for MDT in Elkhart.
Milo was a member of VFW Post #1126 and American Legion Post 49 both of Warsaw; a lifetime member of American Legion Post #258, Pierceton and a member of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
He is survived by five children: Ronald E. (Robin) Lindzy, Churubusco, Ind.; Joyce Elaine (Elois) Brown, Ocala, Fla.; Deborah K. (Will) Davidson, Silver Lake, Ind.; Lorie Ann (John) Oliver, Pierceton, Ind; and Rebecca Beth Vanthoff, Warsaw; one sister: Phyllis Elaine Carter, Warsaw; and 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Milo was preceded in death by four brothers: Zeldon Lipply, Lamoine Lipply, Ezra Lipply and Cecil D. Lindzy Jr.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday May 17, in the funeral home with Pastor Scott Carmer officiating. Burial will be in South Milford Cemetery, South Milford. Burial will be at 1 p.m. with Military Honors.
