Meth Lab, Pill Sales Net Charges
Two separate drug investigations have resulted in charges against two local men.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies and Drug Task Force officers converged on a residence Monday afternoon near Claypool after receiving a tip of possible methamphetamine production. Officers arrived and located an active one-pot method meth lab at the residence of 701 E. CR 800 S., Claypool.
Deputies also located the occupant of that residence, identified as Norman Lee McCord, 56, and preliminarily arrested him on felony manufacturing methamphetamine. The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab team was also summoned to the scene to secure and remove the active meth lab.
The second drug arrest occurred this morning, shortly after 10 a.m. when Kosciusko County DTF officers arrested Ronald Douglas Meade Sr., 63, at his residence at 5790 S. Maple Grove Ln., Warsaw (Sellers Lake). Meade was arrested by deputies after an on-going investigation where he allegedly sold undisclosed prescription medications to officers. He was transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and preliminarily charged with felony dealing in a Schedule I controlled substance.
Both McCord and Meade were being held on individual $10,000 bonds.
The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force was also assisted by the Warsaw Police Drug/Narcotics Taskforce.
