Habitat Concludes Inaugural Women Build Jones Home
Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County will be celebrating the completion of the inaugural Women Build Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16.
At 3 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at 549 E. Market St., Warsaw, will be the dedication. Even more important will be the celebration of the first home for Habitat Partner family member, Diane Jones and her son, Keatrine. The dedication is open to the public.
From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 15, Habitat will be hosting a volunteer celebration at the build site. Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Christon Clark and construction manager Don Laughlin will be manning the grills to say thank you for the wonderful volunteer support to pull off the Women Build under a very tight schedule.
Groundbreaking was Friday, March 22, with the first volunteer day on Thursday, April 4, and the final major volunteer day on Saturday, May 25.
Diane is a mother and student in addition to her job at Helvey & Associates. She has worked diligently alongside the volunteers and is very close to completing her required sweat equity hours. In addition, she has made her down payment on the home and is looking forward to closing and beginning her mortgage payments so that future “partner families” can experience the joys of home building and home ownership through Habitat.
Join Habitat on June 15-16 to celebrate a very successful inaugural Women Build and affordable homeownership for a hard working Kosciusko family. Call 574-269-4104 with any questions or inquiries.
