Eunice W. Roher
Eunice W. Roher, 92, of Wolcottville, formerly of Ligonier, passed away on May 30, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor in LaGrange.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1920, in Drumheller, Canada, to Carlos and Ocie (Johnston) Hill. She married David Roher on Dec. 7, 1940, in Kimmell.. He preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1982.
She graduated from Cromwell High School in 1938. After graduating, she worked as a cook at many of the Ligonier restaurants. She worked at Essex Wire and Golden’s Hardware in Ligonier. Eunice started working in the printing business beginning at Kidd and Col. In Ligonier. She then worked for several other pringing companies ending at Larry Stahly’s Printing Shop.
After retiring, she enjoyed travelling with her friends. She also enjoyed quilting and bowling.
Eunice is survived by two children: Connie Weber of Wolcottville, IN and Jack (Susan) Roher of Ligonier; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Ocie, a sister, Ardith Hill, and two brothers, Herbert and Max Hill.
A funeral service in her honor will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier. Pastor John Lutton will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemeterty.
Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. The Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a service at 5 p.m.
