Biomet Employees To Vote On Union
Biomet employees are set to vote on whether or not to bring a union to the orthopedics manufacturer, but neither employees nor company officials will say much more.
Bill Kolter, public relations for Biomet, will provide only the following statement regarding union activity at Biomet: “We do not believe that a union is necessary and is potentially counterproductive to the company’s successful operation and its relationship with its team members.
“The law gives employees the right to choose, and the (National Labor Relations Board) has scheduled a secret ballot election for June 5. We are confident that, in exercising their right to vote, our team members will conclude that a union is not in their best interest or in the best interest of our company.”
StaceyPageOnline.com has contacted a number of Biomet employees for comment, but so far no one is willing to go on record.
