Weapons Located At Fight, Nine Arrested
Nine people were arrested late Tuesday night after police were called to the 1700 block of South Blue Spruce Road amid a report of shots being fired. The investigation found that a dispute erupted into threats made on Facebook that eventually led to the discharge of a firearm.
The call came in at about 11:53 p.m. last night. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies, along with officers from Warsaw and Winona Lake police departments, quickly arrived at the scene and immediately detained eight people as they investigated.
Officers were told that an argument between neighbors began Monday night. That led to threats against family members being posted on Facebook. Although police are not providing any additional information at this time, they arrested nine individuals and located at the scene four firearms, a baseball bat and a police style “night stick” indicating a large fight was ready to erupt.
Those arrested on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct were:
Kwaimain DeShawn Price, 23, South Bend
Douglas Eugene Marsillett, 23, Warsaw
Christian Lee Taylor, 21, South Bend
Korey Lee Slone, 27, Mentone
Travis James Ludwig, 23, Etna Green
William DeMetrius, 25, South Bend
Heather Rene Marsillett, 20, Warsaw
Tiffany Nicole Slone, 27, Mentone
Mariah Lynn Konkle, 21, Warsaw
Bonds for all nine individuals were set at $300 each.
