Maurice Warner
Maurice Warner, 82, Pierceton, Ind., passed away at 2:34 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, in St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born March 29, 1931, to Walter and Agnes (Hardman) Warner in Monroe Township, Kosciusko County, Ind. He graduated from Sidney High School, Sidney, Ind., in 1949 and served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1953.
He was a member of Dutchtown Brethren Church, Warsaw, Ind., and a lifetime Sidney area resident and farmer. On June 9, 1957, he married Janyth D. Rooney.
He enjoyed traveling with his family through 49 states and 8 foreign countries.
He is survived by his wife: Janyth D. Warner, Pierceton; two sons: Leon (Jennifer) Warner, Warsaw; and Lowell Warner, Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters: Judy Warner, Markelville, Ind.; and Joyce (Rodger) Evans, Bluffton, Ind.; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one great-grandchild and four step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother: L.V. Warner; and a sister: Devona Farley.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, at the funeral home. Pastor Jack W. Worth will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, Ind.
