William R. Hochstetler
William R. Hochstetler, 77, of Warsaw, Ind., and formerly of New Paris, Ind., passed away at his home in the morning on Sunday, June 9, 2013. He had been ill since March.
He was born Dec. 23, 1935 in Bremen, Ind., to Rudy J. and Anna (Borkholder) Hochstetler. He married Elsie Lapp on March 28, 1964, in Hartville, Ohio.
An electrician, Mr. Hochstetler worked at Fairmont Homes until retiring in 2000. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Conservative Mennonite Church and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching and attending auctions.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters: Theda Hochstetler, Nappanee, Ind.,; Rose and Gloria Hochstetler, both of Goshen, Ind.; three sisters: Sylvia Hostetler, New Paris; Frieda (Robert) Schmucker, Milford, Ind.; Verba (Joe) Bontrager, Nappanee; and three brothers: Leroy (Betty) Hochstetler, Milford; Ernest (Mary) Hochstetler, Nappanee; and Larry (Freda) Hochstetler, New Paris.
Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 12 at Pleasant Grove Mennonite Church. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the church. The Home Ministry will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Goshen.
