NWCC Hosts Upcoming Film Premiere
The North Webster Community Center will host the premiere of Flowfeel Film’s latest project, “B A T T E R”, a short film written and directed by Jessica Hardy. Hardy has family on Lake Webster and teaches comedy improv classes at NWCC in the summer months. Year round she and husband Brent Kado are filmmakers and run the Chicago Comedy FIlm Festival.
The lead, Adair Silver, plays Tara in this short film about living at home and dealing with life on winter’s morning in a small town. Tara faces the common issues of boredom, boyfriend and forgiveness. The film was shot on Lake Webster. The cast and crew is made up of talent from Chicago, Fort Wayne, Syracuse, Larwill, Auburn and North Webster.
Hardy aimed to use local folks to boost awareness of local talent and drive. Several of the cast and crew are professional industry people and folks with acting talent. Tickets are free but there is limited seating. It is a semi-formal event and photos taken will be included in the film’s press packet and on the website. The film will be entered into film festivals this year.
