NORTH WEBSTER – A beach volleyball tournament being held in conjunction with the annual Mermaid Festival kicked off Tuesday night.

The Adult Coed 4s tourney is being held at the new North Webster Community Center’s sand court.

In pool play action Tuesday evening, Webster Lake defeated Big Chapman Lake 3-0, Lake Wawasee topped Big Chapman Lake 3-0 and Lake Wawasee stopped Webster Lake 3-0.

The tourney continues with pool play Thursday starting at 6 p.m. Teams slated to play Thursday include Big Tippecanoe Lake, Grindle Lake, Winona Lake and The Backwaters.

The event concludes Saturday with a seeded tourney starting at 11 a.m.
