Richard and Janice May, of Warsaw, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, July 6, by renewing their vows at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Warsaw. Richard and the former Janice Ann Shepherd were married on July 6, 1963, in Warsaw.

Richard served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as an SP-5 in April 1963. He retired from Dalton Corporation in 2003 after nearly 40 years of service. He currently works part-time with Schrader’s Auto Parts. Janice was a homemaker during most of their early years together. She began working with Warsaw Wesleyan Church in 1988 and continues to work there on a part-time basis. Both, Richard and Janice are active in their church and with the grandchildren.

The May’s family includes three daughters: Tammy Haney, Argos, Ind.; Kathy (Brad) Zolman, Warsaw; Holly (David) Temple, Columbia City, Ind.; and six grandchildren: Allison, David, Emily, Brooklyn, Colin and Chloe.
