Manchester University Hosts Holiday Celebration
It’s almost time for the Fourth of July Celebration at Manchester University. The party kicks off at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 4, on the east side of the North Manchester campus with the Manchester Civic Band and other patriotic presentations.
Free, kid-friendly activities, including glow sticks, kites and face paint, will help the whole family prepare for the sky show at 10 p.m. North Manchester firefighters will ignite the $5,000 fireworks display provided by Manchester University.
The North Manchester Rotary will sell $1 soda, popcorn and hot dogs throughout the night, with proceeds benefiting local programs. For the safety of the guests and campus, sparklers and other personal fireworks are not permitted.
In the event of rain Thursday evening, the party will move to Friday, July 5.
