Domestic Battery Filed Following Threat Claim
A man arrested outside of Ace Hardware in Warsaw Wednesday morning was ultimately arrested on a felony charge of domestic battery. (See related story)
Gabriel De La Rosa Marroquin, 34, 3699 N. 175 E. Lot 75, Warsaw, was initially detained by police for questioning Wednesday when his wife reported he threatened to shoot her and police officers. Officers located Marroquin in his vehicle outside of Ace Hardware on East Center Street.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Chad Hill told StaceyPageOnline.com Wednesday afternoon that Marroquin was being questioned and, at the time of the incident, it was unclear if had actually been in possession of a firearm.
Marroquin was ultimately arrested and charged with domestic battery in the presence of a minor. He is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $2,000 bond.
