Dear Editor,

I am writing this letter to let the good be heard about Chris Morehouse. I live in small town Mentone where if you upset a small group of church members, your name will be smeared and they will try and prevent you from renting buildings that are used for the public.

Chris Morehouse had my older son for the last two years at Jack and Jill preschool. I loved her and, better yet, my son loved her!

She taught him so many things from the books, but the best things she taught him was from her heart. How to treat his friends and to love and give with all he has. She taught him this by living it in front of him and the other kids.

She is a wonderful person who I want to teach my son to be a preschooler. I don’t want the new teacher Jack and Jill hired (who I think has a sketchy past) and I don’t want Headstart where they want my baby four days a week for six hours a day.

As a parent, I should have that choice. Too bad a small group of the “Christians” in Mentone don’t believe I should have that choice because they have a PERSONAL issue with her. My choice has always been and always will be for a wonderful teacher as Mrs. Morehouse.
