KLAS Was Focus Of Builders Meeting
Anna Burke, Kosciusko Lakes & Streams program manager, spoke at the General Membership Meeting of the Builders Association Kosciusko Fulton Counties at Champagne Jam.
Information was provided on water quality, water in the classrooms project, lake water testing, and landscaping with natural plants. Members were given the 10 ways to keep our lakes and streams clean: Identify your watershed; get involved in your watershed; maintain or create a natural buffer; implement responsible lawn and garden care practices; keep storm water on your property; prevent erosion from your property; properly dispose of household hazardous waste; maintain your septic system; compost yard waste; and dispose of animal waste properly.
